Our United States Prosperity Index provides a comprehensive assessment of the institutional, economic, and social aspects of prosperity for all 50 states and Washington D.C. for the 10 years up to early 2020. By providing a picture of prosperity in the U.S. before the coronavirus crisis, the Index is a helpful lens through which to consider the various dimensions of the pandemic’s effects. It also provides context for the social unrest that followed the death of George Floyd. To address these challenges, the Index helps frame an agenda by explicitly recognising the interconnectedness of many different elements of prosperity.

“The United States Prosperity Index is one of the most comprehensive state-level comparisons of economic success, social progress and wellbeing ever created. It is needed now more than ever.” (Arthur Brooks, Harvard Kennedy School Professor and former President of AEI)

We are partnering with a number of prominent organisations across the U.S. throughout June and July to host a series of webinars to discuss how individual states, and the nation as a whole, can set a recovery agenda for future growth and development. Details and registration links for the events are below – we would love you to join us at any or all of them.
