This November, Legatum Institute welcomed former Prime Minister Rt Hon Liz Truss to join LI’s Managing Director Dr Radomir Tylecote for a panel discussion, followed by Q&A session, based on her Sunday Times bestseller, Ten Years to Save the West.
The former Prime Minister explored the theme of “The Unelected State”, discussing the growing capacity of a permanent bureaucracy to undermine democratically elected politicians, and the impact this has on the democratic government of Britain, including our capacity to tackle illegal immigration and economic stagnation.
