Today, more people lead prosperous, healthy lives than at any other point in history. Yet despite this encouraging trend and significant investment, extreme poverty still exists in many parts of the world, and is responsible for the deaths of an estimated 22,000 children each day.
We now have an opportunity to harness new approaches to end poverty; to close the growing gap between rich and poor, whilst protecting individual freedoms to promote prosperity in developing nations around the world.
Through our 21st Century International Development programme, we aim to use our metrics and data to identify the solutions that have achieved the greatest impact in delivering prosperity, and how they can be replicated in developing nations around the world.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to realise their unique potential and make their contribution to society, no matter where they live.
