The online panel will feature a discussion between Jean Baptiste Koba, Minister-Counsellor for Investments to the President of the Central African Republic, Louisa Lombard, Associate Professor of Anthropology, Yale University, and Enrica Picco, Project Director for Central Africa, International Crisis Group. The discussion will be moderated by Carlos Montes, Lead Adviser on the Pathways to Prosperity programme, Legatum Institute.
The panel will allow us to explore bold solutions to end the cycle of conflict and violence in the Central African Republic. Particularly, CAR is the second poorest country in the world, with a third of its population displaced. The country is not only located in the most fragile region in the world, but it has also become a centre of geopolitical tensions, including the recent intervention of the Russian Wagner Group.
Please join us to explore the opportunities for CAR to emerge as a more peaceful and prosperous country, as highlighted in our report, and an accompanying article by Prof. Louisa Lombard and Carlos Montes.
