Tilly is an Events Coordinator at the Legatum Institute. Prior to joining the team she worked in health and education, two areas of work she cares largely about and in which she still remains active through her hobbies and volunteering. However, her real interest lies in philanthropy and how this plays out in politics. Tilly graduated with a Bachelors degree in Politics & International Relations from Bristol University and has a particular curiosity for Sub-Saharan African politics. Her BA dissertation examined the notorious Band Aid Movement and its role in shaping Western perceptions of Sub-Saharan Africa. She continues to take a keen interest in international relations and also enjoys trying her hand at cooking cuisines from all over the world.
