Nicholas Crafts is Professor of Economic History and Director of the ESRC Research Centre on Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE) at Warwick University. He is a Fellow of the British Academy. His earlier career included positions at University of California Berkeley, London School of Economics, Oxford, and Stanford. His research interests focus on comparative long-run economic growth and the economic history of the 1930s. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the IMF and a consultant for HM Treasury.
