Filiberto Ceriani Sebregondi

Filiberto provides advice on our governance and political programmes. He is Adjunct Professor at Science Po, Paris, and is on the board of the European Centre for Electoral Support. Filiberto is a former EU Ambassador to Ghana, Togo, and Tanzania, and was an EU official for 25 years. Filiberto’s career in the EU focused on political, trade, and economic cooperation, including responsibility for relations with the countries and the regional organisation of East and West Africa and the Sahel. He was instrumental in the successful negotiation of the EU trade agreement with Ghana. Filiberto has been deeply involved in processes of political mediation and crisis and conflict prevention, including in relation to electoral processes. Previously, as a consultant, Filiberto worked for the World Bank, the United Nations, and the Italian Government in Asia and Latin America. Filiberto holds a BSc in Agricultural Economics (Portici University) and an MA in Development Economics (Paris Sorbonne).
